Mr. Sakofs is Director of Empowerment of Families with School Aged Children at the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest NJ. After years of teaching, he created MagneticShul, which is an amazing educational toy designed to engage young children in ritual synagogue life using magnets to tell the story of their synagogue experience and their surroundings. Mr. Sakofs takes pleasure in letting his children direct their family learning, asking questions and ultimately discovering the answers. He seeks to engage and empower other Jewish families to discover new ways to play and have their own meaningful learning experiences. Mr. Sakofs articles have been published in the JOFA Journal, on the topic of separate and family seating, and on Kveller, where he talks about the importance of giving children real Jewish encounters
