Melissa Brail is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been employed at Jewish Community Services of South Florida for the past 17 years. Her current positions at JCS include Director of School Based Services, Director of the DUI Counseling Program, Co-director of the Safety Kid program (a child sexual abuse prevention program), Clinical Supervisor of the Yehi Ohr program (an outreach program to the Orthodox Jewish community), and Clinical Supervisor of the Miami Beach outpatient mental health office. She is the author of the book Stages of Healing: A Guide for Counseling Adult Children of Alcoholics. Brail is passionate about educating the Jewish community on the prevalence of child sexual abuse and how to prevent it. In the last two years she has educated nearly 3000 adults and children on sex abuse prevention and looks forward to continuing the conversation throughout South Florida.
