Morton Levitt

Born in Brooklyn in 1936, Mort Levitt is Professor Emeritus of English at Temple University. He also taught at Penn State and at Zagreb University in Yugoslavia, the University of Granada in Spain and the University of Lisbon. He has lectured widely in Europe for both the U.S. Information Service and the Fulbright program. For nineteen years, he edited the Journal of Modern Literature, the leading academic journal in its field. Among his books the best known are Bloomsday: An Introduction to James Joyce's Ulysses; The Modernist Masters; Modernist Survivors; and The Rhetoric of Modernist Fiction
