Saul Chapnick is a trained Group Worker with an MSW from Yeshiva University and was a Clinical Social Worker licensed in New Jersey. For the past 10 years, he has been working in the Assisted Living field and is currently an associate at Michael Brodie Senior Placement, where he counsels families on finding appropriate care for their loved ones. He is also the Director of Care Management at The Senior Care Connector, a Medicaid consulting service for families, individuals, ALF administrators and Elder Care professionals applying for Medicaid long term care. For over 25 years, Mr. Chapnick has studied Jewish life in interwar Europe with a focus on learning what was lost when this 1000 year old community vanished. In visiting Eastern Europe many timed and talking to politicians, survivors, scholars and Jewish communal leaders, Mr. Chapnick uncovered the richness and tragedy of interwar Jewish life in Europe. The poets and musicians of this vibrant era reflect this period’s ethos, pathos, and politics. Mr. Chapnick will show how their story is also our story.
